ABOUT ME

Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Necati DEMİR was born in Ankara on 30 April 1971. He graduated from Ankara High School in 1988 and from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He completed his specialty training on Eye Diseases in 2000 at Ministry of Health Ankara Training and Research Hospital. In 2011, he was awarded the Assoc. Prof. Dr. title.

He was appointed to the Chief Resident staff in 2003, and served as a lecturer at the Retina department of the same clinic until 2016. During this period, he attended many international and domestic congresses and symposiums. He was present at the Retina department of the Eye Clinic in Osaka University's Faculty of Medicine in Japan in 2003 and at Neuroophthalmology department of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami/USA in 2015. During 2012-2016, he worked as a lecturer at Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine. He worked on various levels at TÜBİTAK during 2008-2014 and served as Chief Physician at Ministry of Health Ankara Training and Research Hospital during 2014-2015.

His more than 30 international articles and papers and more than 100 domestic articles and papers have been published in the international and national journals and at the conferences. He currently has active memberships with Ankara Chamber of Physicians, Turkish Ophthalmology Association (TOD) and TOD Medical Retina Department, and acts as a reviewer for numerous scientific journals. Dr. DEMİR has a good command of English and he is married with two children.
